Further north prime cycling territory is to be had around Pollenca, and back into the Tramuntana from Alcudia and the Bay of Alcudia. A ground floor, two bedroom duplex apartment with private garden and distant sea views in a delightful complex in the village of Calonge, very near the popular coastal resort of Cala d'Or on the South East coast of Mallorca. The main entrance gate is the Puerta de las Tablas featuring the coat of arms of King Philip II, and the gatehouse now houses the Museum of Contemporary Art. There are plenty of relaxed resort areas which are ideal for families and the northern end of the island is a delight to explore with its lush, green countryside, rugged cliffs and hidden coves. Transfer time from airport: 1 hour 30 minutes approx. A number of small, charming fishing villages surround the island, offering great exploring alternatives after a long day at the beach.
